M.S. in computer science from the Norwegian Institute of Technology, doctoral candidate in artificial intelligence at the University of Illinois
Five years’ consulting experience in applied analytics for financial clients plus an academic background in machine learning, pattern recognition, speech recognition, and information retrieval. Currently focused on mortgage prepayment modeling and standardizing and normalizing scores for predictive prepayment models.
Prior to joining LoanPerformance, Mr. Blix was senior analytical consultant for Norkom Technologies, responsible for execution and management of a multi-million dollar customer relationship initiative for an Internet bank, a project that involved developing models for customer acquisition, cross-selling, and retention for a variety of product lines, including mortgages and home equity lines of credit. Mr. Blix also developed a new credit scorecard for a vehicle financing institution and contributed to projects in the telecommunications and travel industries. He has also evaluated and tested modeling tools and developed modeling best practices.
